  • 1 tsp WHOLE Allspice (spice isle). They are little round balls.
  • 4 Cinnamon Sticks (yeah baby!) I might experiment with more of these. 🙂
  • 2 tsp nutmeg or 1 WHOLE nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup or so of brown sugar for sweetness
    Directions

  • Wash & cut apples & orange in 1/4s. Leave seeds & peel. Add to the pot.
  • Squeeze lemon into pot
  • Add spices to pot
  • Top with brown sugar
  • Take yummy picture
  • Nearly fill to top with water
  • BOIL for one hour
  • Using a OXO Good Grips Wire Potato Masher , I mash the apples from to time.

  • After one hour, let it simmer covered for 2-3 hours.
  • It will look soupy like the picture below.
  • Using a Nut Milk Bag to strain the liquid into a container. This will remove all the chunks of stuff.

  • I use a Luminarc Quadro 2-Liter Glass Pitcher with Lid to store it in the refrigerator.
  • Warm it up on the stove on low/med heat and serve. 🙂

Sweet BBQ Wings in 30 Minutes

Sweet BBQ Wings in 30 Minutes

YUMMY… This has completely stopped me from buying wings ANYWHERE…. and it is so cheap and quick.

    Ingredients

  • Package of wings or drummettes
  • 2 tsp smoked sweet paprika (Central Market) or just smoked paprika
  • Little honey
  • 1 Tbsp of apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 cup butter (I use KerryGold grass feed cow butter)
  • 5 Tbsp or so of BBQ Sauce (I use Garland BBQ b/c it has NO high frustose corn syrup! And, it is made here in DFW!)
  • Add some hot sauce if you wanna spice it up!
  • 1 tsp or so of chopped/minced garlic
    Directions

  • Melt butter in bowl (30 seconds or so in the microwave works for me)
  • Add rest of ingredients
  • Mix it up
  • Remove about half of the sauce mixture. You will drizzle it over the wings after they have cooked.
  • Mix the wings and sauce together in a zip lock bag to get the wings coated with sauce
  • Preheat oven to 450 (or the grill)
  • Line your baking pan with tinfoil and a quick spray of PAM
  • Cook for about 25 minutes. Check on it. Brown to desired level.
  • Add the cooked wings to a large bowl and mix the remaining sauce with it.
  • Eat it. 🙂
